San Luis Obispo Auto Repair

This weekend I tinted all the windows on my girlfriend's 2017 Mazda CX-5 including the front windshield and when I went to leave the shop the vehicle would not start. I thought maybe if we waited until the next morning that any electrical units that got wet during tint installation that they would dry out and we wouldn't have any issues but I was wrong and the vehicle still wouldn't start. We were able to get the car towed to Villa Automotive on a Sunday (late afternoon about 3pm) which is super convenient as most shops are closed. It was a holiday weekend so they didn't get to look at the vehicle until Tuesday but it turned out there was no water damage at all. Somehow the anti-theft system was locked on so the vehicle would not turn on. Villa charged the battery and manually turned off the anti-theft theft system and the car started right up and we were only charged about $50. I really appreciate their honesty because I feel many shops would have taken advantage of the situation and they easily could have charged much more. It's hard to find an automotive shop that will do the right thing as most of us out here don't know much about cars. Finding an honest shop is more than half the battle and just for that itself I would definitely recommend Villa Automotive.

VERY honest business! I got my car towed here for the first time on Sunday, not knowing why my car wouldn’t start. I had just gotten window tinting done on it and thought there might be water damage due to this sizzling sound when trying to start it and suggested that to them. When I called to check on Tuesday they said they cleared my antitheft lock, charged my battery and couldn’t find anything really worth noting when they ran the diagnosis. They tried to recreate what happened to find the problem with no luck and wanted to keep it another night just to be sure. With everything still looking fine the next day they said I could pick it up and only charged me $50. They could have charged me WAY more and I appreciate their attentiveness and honesty. Will for sure be recommending them and using them for future issues!!

Don't take this wrong, but I hope I don't have to see you real soon. But it is good to know I have a place I can count on, when I need it.
