Car broke down in SLO on a Friday afternoon (around 430pm) while on vacation with the family. Called AAA and they said the only shop around open on saturdays was Villa Automotive. I called around 5pm, and they said no problem, they'll take it in. I was thinking that they wouldn't even be able to look at it until Monday. Called Saturday morning and they (Frank) updated me along the way. Read the diagnostic code and found it was the crankshaft position sensor. They replaced it, cleared the code, and i picked up my car in less than 24 hrs since it broke down. Total was $344; i'm sure i could have read the code at my house w/ and OBD II reader and changed the sensor myself, but I didn't have either. I'm also sure that this is probably an easy fix 1-1.5 hrs labor, but i won't complain about that, since they were extremely accommodating in such a bind. Thanks again!
