After a "minor" accident with our RV on CA1 about 50 miles south of Big Sur (on a Saturday, of course), it was not drivable. It had a fast coolant leak, damaged DEF tank, along with body parts rubbing on a tire. The tow truck driver from Cambria Towing suggested Villa Automotive in San Luis Obispo as the best option if we wanted to get it back on the road over the weekend. We were 400 miles from home and managing collision repair locally was definitely an option we wanted to avoid. Towing to SLO was a 100 mile trip, but it was our best option if we wanted to avoid multiple days of delay on the Central Coast. We would not be arriving at Villa until right at their 5:00 PM closing time, but we called and Craig said he would wait for us to give an initial assessment. That he did, and he was optimistic that they could make the temporary repairs on Sunday to allow driving the RV back home to Escondido that afternoon. I was impressed by the size of the shop and they seemed well equipped to address the issues I had.Sunday morning, John, their "find a way" technician, started on temporary repairs and within a couple hours had the RV ready for the road. After reviewing the damage, he fabricated a custom coolant hose, re-shaped the front bumper structure, removed damaged trim parts, re-mounted/secured the DEF tank, cleared interference of body parts with the tire and resolved several other issues that could have affected safe operation. The return to Escondido on Sunday afternoon was uneventful (a very good thing!) and I can now manage the collision repair in my home location. Villa's weekend schedule definitely bailed us out on this trip and I can't say enough about the friendly, competent and efficient operation they run. John was cheerful, creative and kept me in the loop as he worked through each successive issue. If you're traveling on the Central Coast and need repairs, I would highly recommend Villa Automotive. If you live in the area, why are you going anywhere else?
